Joy McKeegan - Bookkeeper

I grew up in Ohio as the seventh of eight children. After college I worked in accounting. My experiences include serving as an accountant at a mission organization in Florida, as well as at a nonprofit in Texas, where I heard about Camp Gilead.

My spiritual gift is helps. One way I used this in the past is as a teacher in Sunday school.

One thing I love most about Camp Gilead is how young people are given many opportunities to hear about God's love and truth and learn about how missionaries share God's truth around the world.

My hopes and dreams for Camp Gilead are that children and youth who come here would grow strong in faith through the teaching and Bible memorization, so that in conjunction with their families and churches, we would help equip them to make a significant difference in the world for good. I also desire to see more people raised up to intercede fervently in prayer for the ministry of Camp Gilead, because with God, all things are possible.

One of my favorite Bible verses is Psalm 46:10: "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."

This verse reminds me that I can relax, rest and be joyful in Him, no matter what difficulties I may face.

Something unique about me that some may not know is that I enjoy singing and have been a part of choirs and worship teams over the years.
