Packing checklist
Bible, pen, notebook, sunscreen, bedding (sheets, blanket, sleeping bag, pillow, etc), toiletries, towels for the shower and beach, bug spray, Medical Form, any necessary medication, as well as medication dosage instructions, raincoat or umbrella, flashlight, clothing that complies with the dress code, pajamas, one-piece swimsuit for girls, dark-colored t-shirt and shorts that can be worn in the lake, an outfit for “Wacky Wednesday” (if desired), boxer-type swim trunks for boys, and two types of shoes. It is recommended that parents write their camper’s in the tags of clothing, etc.
Please do not pack phones or iPods, MP3 players or any musical player or instrument, gaming devices, firearms, alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs, items intended for pranks, or valuables. Non-phone cameras are permitted.
What to expect at Check-In
All resident camps
The Nurse will be available to discuss all health or medication related issues. Nurse’s aides will take temperatures and check for head lice.
The Notary will be available to notarize the medical form for $10 (all funds benefit Camp Gilead Scholarship Fund).
Blank Medical forms/Medication lists, and High Ropes Course waivers will be available. Please note: there is no required waiver for Horseback Riding.
Funds can be added to the camper’s store account.
Oasis cards will be given out (with the exception of KinderCamp, PrimerCamp, and Primary Camp).
“Extras” (horseback riding, high ropes course, paintball, DVDs, etc) can be added and paid for.
- Final balances can be paid.
- Cabin assignments will be given out.
- Cabin Packages can be purchased at the Oasis.
- Parents will be able to walk their camper to his/her cabin, meet the counselors, and get their camper settled in.
All day camps

What to expect at Pick-up
High School, Middle School, C42, Creation Critters, CabinCamps, Primary, and Elementary Camps
Campers will arrive at the Chapel for the closing session and will sit with their cabin and counselors.
Parents may sit in any available seat or stand in the back. Please arrive early if a seat is desired.
A professionally edited video from the week of camp will be shown. Watch for your camper(s)!
Counselors will hold up items from the week that have not been claimed by campers (lost-and-found). Please pay special attention so as not to leave anything behind!
Parents/Guardians will be dismissed to pick-up their camper’s belongings from their respective cabins.
The unused portion of Oasis cards (with the exception of the blue $25 cards) may be cashed out at the Oasis.
The Oasis will be open for any last-minute gift shop or snack purchases, as well as DVDs from the week.
KinderCamp and PrimerCamp
Campers will arrive at the Chapel for the closing session at 5pm.
A professionally edited slideshow from the week of camp will be shown.

The Oasis will be open for any last-minute gift shop or snack purchases, as well as DVDs from the week.
“Hooked on Fishing”
Campers will arrive at the RCA Pavilion at 3pm for the FISH FRY! Parents/Guardians are invited!
Parents/Guardians unable to attend the FISH FRY may pick up their campers at 5pm at the above location.
